Sigma Cylinders' Lebanon Plant Achieves Pi Marking for the European Market

Sigma Cylinders is proud to announce that our Lebanon manufacturing plant has been awarded the Pi Marking for the European market, covering our 5kg, 10kg, 12kg, and 20kg steel LPG cylinders. This milestone confirms that our production facility meets the rigorous technical and safety requirements set out under EU Directive 2010/35/UE and the RID/ADR 2025 framework, verified against EN 1442:2017 standards for transportable welded refillable steel gas cylinders.
For our customers, the Pi Marking is more than a regulatory formality. It is independent, third-party confirmation that every cylinder leaving our plant is built to withstand real-world use, tested rigorously, and manufactured under a quality system trusted across Europe.
As a leading LPG cylinder manufacturer, Sigma Cylinders continues to invest in certification, testing, and process discipline that support clean cooking and safe gas cylinder use across the markets we serve. This achievement reflects our long-term commitment to quality manufacturing and to supporting the clean energy transition from reducing CO2 emissions through safer, more efficient cylinder design, to aligning with global standards championed by organizations such as the WLGA and the clean cooking alliance.
The Pi Marking strengthens our ability to serve customers seeking a cooking gas cylinder or bottle gas manufacturer that meets the highest European benchmarks, while reinforcing the standards we already apply across our operations in Africa and beyond.
This certification is a step forward, not the destination. Sigma Cylinders remains focused on building cylinders that families and businesses can rely on, wherever they are in the world
